The condition of your hands depend on how well you take care of them. Most people don’t usually bother doing so until the palms of their hands become rough and calloused, or until a nail is cracked. You can take care of your hands by massaging them every now and then to stimulate blood circulation. Rub your palm over the back of your hands like you would wash your hands. Before going to bed, put on moisturizing lotion then wear a pair of cotton gloves. They should be very soft by the morning. Finally, get the habit of wearing rubber gloves whenever you have to clean up the house. The chemicals on cleaning agents can be rough on your nails and your hands. When nails are exposed to water, they swell then shrink back when they dry, which makes them more brittle with time.
